Have You Roared Lately?

Hello, friends. I hope you’re having a lovely day. Today’s card is Roar!

You are a fierce lion of your domain. King of the jungle or the sea (or your cubicle, studio or kitchen table). Let your voice be heard, even if you don’t feel that ferocity. Do the actions, become the thing. It never happens the other way around.

I picked this card because today is my birthday! As a Leo this card feels particularly appropriate.

My last spin around the sun has been a bit turbulent — full of big changes and life-altering experiences both devastating and incredible. I think it all feels particularly jarring after the last few years of COVID purgatory. The past 12 months I’ve been thrown into a slow-motion rebirth that feels both like a homecoming and a redefinition of what is possible. Amidst all the grief, the prevailing feeling I’m left with is gratitude and a buzzing anticipation for what’s next.

The biggest thing I’ve learned over the past 12 months is that life is filled with seasons in more complicated and dynamic ways than I had ever realized.
