I’m dog-sitting this week! Riley is my sister’s dog, and I’m trying to be a very good dog auntie. My life has revolved around Riley for the past few days, so it felt appropriate to share a pet-themed newsletter.
Riley is a one-year-old Mini Bernedoodle overflowing with energy and joy for life! He is SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU! He needs to go outside VERY EARLY. He is INCREDIBLY CUTE! (I love him very much. Also, I am so tired!)
In between playing with Riley, I’ve continued to clean my office and found a few more gems that I’d like to share with you. The first is a mini zine called Meow Meow, which is the very first mini zine I ever made! It was part of a Valentine’s Day card that I made in 2020 (ah, the before times…).

I made a quick video of me reading “Meow Meow” aloud. If you haven’t already heard me meow like an idiot, I recommend checking it out on Instagram or TikTok! Finding it and reading it out loud reminded me how much I enjoy creating and sharing fun, light-hearted things.
Now, let’s go way further back! When I was 8 years old, I drew a series of dogs in pencil. I used several photo-packed dog books from the library as reference material. After I drew Frisker, I thought, “Dang. That’s the best dog I’ve EVER drawn. EVER!” This was a big moment for me. You can tell because I wrote the year and my grade on the paper. The pride is palpable.
My office cleaning is almost complete. I have a few more piles to go through, but the top of my desk is now actually available for use! It turns out my desk is much more enjoyable when it’s not an ineffective storage system. Weird.
Thanks for reading!
Thanks for being here! It truly means the world to me. In case you missed it, last week I shared the beginning of my office cleaning journey with my zine “Space.” Check it out here.
