Listen to your inner smug dolphin.

Hello, friends. I hope you’re having a lovely day. Today’s Card is Listen.

You know why dolphins look so smug and happy all the time? It’s because they have excellent hearing and are impeccably designed to enjoy their environment. Sometimes you need to embrace your inner smug dolphin. Listen to your gut and trust your impeccable design.

Here in the throws of summer, this smug dolphin feels like optimal inspiration! Sometimes I feel like I’m driving around a body that is not at all designed to enjoy this environment here on Earth! This body requires more rest, care, and attention to keep running smoothly than I often deem reasonable… but when I take time to listen and give it that care, my body usually does a nice job of driving around my brain so I can enjoy this crazy world. When I don’t care for it, I pay the price! It keeps happening this way, but I’m a slow learner. So, this is just a small reminder (for me and anyone else who needs to here it!) to recognize and foster your impeccable design.

Questions to ponder:

1. What is one way you are impeccably designed to enjoy your environment? (Come on, admit it, you have something! If you’re struggling, here are some examples: you have a great eye for aesthetics, you are strong or fast or particularly coordinated in some way, you can identify many types of plants, you are excellent at growing plants, you love to pet dogs or cats or bunnies, you make the AMAZING chocolate chip cookies, you love to taste food, etc. etc. etc.!)

2. How can you foster your impeccable design to enjoy life even more?
