Hello, Friends -
Sometimes I let the idea of “needing” something I don’t have (or don’t think I have) get in the way of moving forward. This “need” can manifest internally or externally. Especially when it comes to looking inward, a lot of these “needs” are procrastination or self-protection in disguise.
I’ve written about this in a similar way before in Channel Your Inner Octopus:
I have a protective habit of underestimating myself. I do this because of self-doubt and fear, but also as a mechanism to shield myself from disappointment! Perhaps this happens to you too?
I liked the idea of a resourceful crow — a creature known for using tools — reassuring me that I do in fact have what I need.
Here’s a close-up of her reassuring glance. “Channel your inner resourceful crow,” she caws. “You have what you need!”
I turned this design into a t-shirt and tote bag, which are available on Cotton Bureau. And at the end of the month, I’ll share a downloadable art print version of Resourceful Crow with paid subscribers!
Thanks for reading!
In case you missed it, last week I shared a new colorful illustration in my post Hummingbird Haven.
xoxo,
Sheri
P.S. At the end of the month, I’m sharing ALL my October art downloads in one tidy post for paid subscribers. If you want printable goodies, upgrade to a paid subscription! Last month, I shared all the September art downloads in this post!
Love crows so much - this is a lovely and important reminder :)
