After a long week of waiting and worrying, my poetry collection “Stardust” showed up on Friday — my Dad’s birthday. I can’t think of a better day for these books to arrive. These illustrated poems were heavily influenced by what it’s been like to lose my Dad and navigate big changes — good and bad. Holding the finished book in my hands brought a lot of big feelings full circle. After inspecting for quality, I had a happy/sad cry in the kitchen over a box of books I’m really proud of.
The cover is laminated with a soft-touch coating — the perfect cozy complement to a snoozing fox. The interior pages are printed on thick 100 lb. paper, and the colors turned out exactly how I hoped. I couldn’t be happier with the final product. I will start packing and shipping pre-orders and orders this week! If you haven’t already, use the button below to check it out and place an order.
We had a dusting of snow here in Milwaukee that I was pretty annoyed about until I realized it is the perfect backdrop for this cozy black cover.
In the midst of impatiently waiting for Stardust to print and ship (it was estimated to arrive on Monday and didn’t show up until Friday!), I created a black and white version of the cover illustration. This is today’s art print download for paid subscribers!
